hand made Leatherman Wave belt sheath
This was my first attempt at a "pancake" style sheath. I made some mistakes in the process, but the end result worked like it was supposed to. Looking back I think my biggest problem is being impatient.

My first leather project SUCCESS!!!!!
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.5 лет назад
I am absolutely thrilled with my first project. It turned out pretty good as far as I'm concerned. For not having ever worked with leather I think it was acceptable. I know I made some mistakes along the way, but in the end all turned out well.

As the title and thumbnail suggest I figured it was time to learn a new skill, so I'm trying my hand at the art of leather working. This is just a quick introduction video to my new workspace just for leather working. As always thanks for watching.... One thing I forgot to add in the video was that I wanted everything or as much as possible to be off the bench and on the wall. This is to minimi...
DIY 2X4 work bench, cheap and sturdy
Просмотров 3,2 тыс.5 лет назад
I needed a sturdy work bench for some upcoming projects. I decided to try my hand at the 2X4 benchtop style. I decided to make the horizontal rather than vertical in order to keep the project under $100.00. In the end it's more than sturdy for it's intended use. That will be revealed in some later videos.

Wahoo Game Board on Shapeoko CNC. My camera messed it up!!!

Ok so my camera didn't really do anything to my machine, but that is what I am going to say happened. Got the Wahoo board on the machine today and did all the cutting. Had some trouble along the way, but I got it fixed, and it turned out alright. Next video will be the final assembly and finish of the board... Stay tuned.
Wahoo board game Part 1. designing in VCarve Pro un-edited
Просмотров 7 тыс.5 лет назад
This is part 1 of making a Wahoo game board. In this video I do the design work in VCarve Pro. I did not edit the design process, so it's a long video. I wanted people to see what it's like trying to design things on the fly using VCarve Pro. I didn't do any work with this prior to filming, so it's all "improvised" on the fly. Love VCarve, and hopefully this video will inspire some people to ma...

I agree that video is not bad besides the fact that you really talked harbor freight down to the point of almost making a person not want to shop there😮 The harbor freight micro torch actually is a pretty good tool , But the safety child latch yeah it sucks hard to work with at times. (maybe if I had itty bitty fingers It would be easier to deal with🤭)and the igniter sucks! But that's only if you use it a lot! And there's no instructions on how to replace that igniter! Well I'm looking for some anyway and I'm on my second one, If you happen to use it a lot like everyday 6 or 7 times a day You might get four or five months on the igniter anyway that's What I got out two of them So 30 bucks a year maybe isn't as cheap as you think You know it's name brand is not harbor freight meaning they don't make it They only sell it. I have found a sparker or bic lighter will ignite the micro torch not as convenient but works...

I just got the same one from Harbor Freight. The cashier said "it's final sale". I wasn't planning to return it but asked "well, unless it's defective, I won't return it" Cashier said "it is still final" Came home, tried to fill in, it doesn't take the gas, keeps spilling. I bought exactly the same butane can thinking the nipple might be different, same thing. I looked up the website, thinking not return, but there should be solution or fix for this. "No warranty" it says and nothing more..

I've been selling on FB for a while and there are always three types of buyers: serious ones, never-responders, and bankrupt hagglers. Right now, I have 20+ "Is it available" messages I've responded to. None of my responses were read. They just vanish. If I send a follow up, they'll read that one and then never respond. Some of my listings are for high-end items marked down about 25-35% below retail value. Even with my ad set up to not accept lower offers and me specifically stating such in the first line of the description, there are always people offering 1/10th of the price. Some become surprisingly rude about it, complaining that they don't have the money to buy it. Somehow, they think FB is a charity. I had a guy expecting to get a new OLED Nintendo Switch for $75. Yeah...

for the love of god DON'T LISTEN TO THIS GUY when it comes to grounding the alligator clip. don't put it on that bolt holding your belt in place. it's going to cause you headaches trying to retighten it to the right specification. just run that ground into the control box and use the bolt on the top left stand off.

The tool marks have absolutely nothing to do with the spoil board they are a result of your spindle not being properly trammed that means it's janky or crooked. If you want your cam program to recognize the details then simply tell it to do as it's told or else! Or you could just state you have a smaller bit it won't know your lying unless it's a surplus buy computer from Tesla....

The allowance setting lets you adjust the size of the fingers. If you had entered 0.01", you basically gave a quarter of a millimeter allowance for the joints to fit more loosely. A zero allowance means your joints, especially in thicker wood, will take more force to put together.

Really pissed me off today a guy messaged me and I ask me if I’d take less and we agreed on a price then he asked if I could meet him 15 miles away yeah that’s right 30 miles round trip.I said no and stated if he wanted item he’d have to come to my part of town so we agreed on convenience store location near me for meet up I gave him address to the store 2 times.Well today he states he’s headed my way few minutes go by he message me he was there at the store I’m like I’m here and see no one parked there.Thinking he’s made a mistake on the address i message him it again.Next thing I know this guy drop pinned his location to me and it shows 8 miles away!I say no this is not the address we agreed to meet up at and then he proceeds to try and get me to drive the 8 miles!I again say no and for the 4th time messaged him the agreed upon meet up,address!I getting aggravated and irritated and tell him if he isn’t there in 15 minutes I’m leaving! He then has the balls to ask if I can meet him tomorrow LOL!I finally said fuck it I’m done dealing with this asshole and blocked him.

Yikes Stripes, I'm sure glad I watched this before kicking off my TNut job! I was already to cut, but decided to do a single hole test on a piece of scrap MDF, 7 single holes with single adjustments later I was finally happy with the way the TNuts both went in, didn't fall out, and cleared the back of the board. Only saying for the low cost generic 1/4 inch TNuts I found I used .8 x .15 for the back clearance and .3 for the through hole - tight but not obstinate going in and took a good whack to get out with a thousandth or two clearance beneath the back of my spoiler. Hope they hold for the life of that board....

Im fairly new to leatherwork. Well new to taking it seriously and I've found you need a lot more than people let on in most videos. The kits on ebay and Amazon might have seemingly a lot of tools but a lot of them aren't the sizes you need and half you'll never use. Especially if you want to make a variety of stuff. Then you need a variety of leather and that's not cheap. Then the hardware in a variety of sizes and gauges and finishes and dyes and threads etc. And you need to store them all. Then miscellaneous equipment like bowls, mats, boards, brushes, sponges etc. The list goes on haha. If you've got any handy or craft skills most will feel far too limited when starting out. You can get away with the minimum stuff recommended in most videos but you won't get a nice end product. And you'll have very limited outcomes. Which is hard when your imagination or expectations are broad. This is the 1st really honest beginners set up video ive found. 10/10 on this underrated video. P.s. I spent about $2000 + Aud (roughly $1500 usd) in buying the low end tools from cheap Chinese importers and all my leather and dyes and threads and different gauge tools, mats, boards etc etc and a a couple of different half hides etc. And I see another $1000 aud minimum in my future to get more threads and dyes and finishes and hardware etc. Im making my own stitching pony and different wood bits n pieces. And I still need decent Tracing papers etc. Haha it's expensive when you want to do it right.
